Water Technician

On site /full or part-time

POSITION SUMMARY: Water Technicians play an important role as part of the resort’s Outside Water Services Team and in ensuring the health and safety of our guests. Water Technicians are responsible for the upkeep, maintenance, and control of the resort’s water resources. This position requires the ability to work outdoors in seasonal weather conditions and requires working early and late hours. Water Technicians serve an important role in representing the resort’s standards and health & wellness vision. Water Technician’s duties and performance require continuous activity that can be physically strenuous in nature. Water Technicians work with other Outside Guest Service Teams and throughout the property as required. Water technicians may be cross-trained in all Outside Guest Services including Pool Cleaning and maintenance operations and may be assigned shifts in other Outside Guest Service roles or to support other property operations teams as assigned or directed. Water Technicians are responsible to maintain quality standards, service processes, and safety and sanitation standards in all circumstances and Team member and Guest encounters. Water Technicians as part of the Outside Guest Services Team are responsible for maintaining the highest level of work and service standards related to the resort’s soaking services and upkeep of the resort’s outdoor and indoor water assets. Pumphouse Operations- Responsible for the oversight and proper use of the resorts’ soaking, pool, water features, and wells. Responsible for the scheduling and implementation of maintenance work, filter cleaning, water testing, backwashing, etc. Help with any task as requested by upper management/supervisor. Responsible for maintaining inventory pars such as water chemicals, maintenance equipment, tools, and any other resources dedicated to the water operations.  

 

Outdoor Operations- Enacts policies and procedures for pumphouse equipment including Pool filtration, Axiom, and Aquagen systems, plumbing, and mechanical assets.  Operates backwashing filters, cleaning valves, operating well pumps, and maintenance/service all assets associated with the water operations.

Communication– Relays consistent and transparent communication to guest’s department needs for all information regarding water operations. Responsible for completing a checklist for specific maintenance timeframes.

POSITION SUMMARY: 

The Grounds and Facilities Manager is responsible for the care and maintenance of resort property gardens, grounds, belowground pipes and drainage systems, and the overall maintenance of the property’s facilities.  The Grounds and Facilities Manager will keep preventative and corrective maintenance systems and information relevant and effective. Grounds and Facilities Manager plays an important team leadership role for the Company, leading, directing, supporting and building the skills and response methodologies for the grounds and facilities maintenance team. This manager will collaborate with DHSRS team members on maintaining the highest standards for the Resort’s aesthetics and functionality. Activities include gardening (watering, deadheading, planting, etc.), preventative, planned and corrective maintenance (plumbing, piping and drainage systems; grounds, facilities), troubleshooting, low-voltage electrical work, organizing and managing maintenance ticketing, checklist and execution systems and calendars) and critical water systems work (high-pressure water jetting of the springs water pipes and discharge zones, etc.). This position is responsible for leading a team that maintains the guest experience as it relates to the aesthetics and safety of our grounds, gardens and facilities. The role is responsible to support and contribute to the success of the DHSRS Team in the delivery of exceptional Guest experience.  This position plays a key role for identifying opportunities to consistently grow, improve, and provide Guests a world class soaking and wellness environment.

Grounds and Facilities Manager activities include, planned, preventative and corrective maintenance, daily repairs, communication with all departments, documentation, organization, and prioritization of resources.

Lead and contribute to gardening activities which include watering, deadheading, pruning, mulching, planting and other activities related to the resort’s grounds and garden upkeep.

Care, use and maintenance of the property’s irrigation systems including pumps and the regular monitoring and response to producing proper system pressures and flows

Lead and execute on planning and maintenance activities to maintain facilities including indoor plumbing, low-voltage electrical work, and general facility maintenance.

Lead, execute, schedule and plan for all preventative and corrective maintenance activities associated with the springs water piping systems and discharge zones. Plan and manage the timely high-pressure water jetting of the springs piping and discharge zones.

Organizes jetting, maintenance and gardening schedules and resources for the facilities and maintenance team and other DHSRS teams to follow and execute on a consistent and recurring timeline as appropriate.

Collaborate with outdoor services and third-party contractors to organize resources for best use and execution for grounds projects, corrective action and emergency response.

Has the ability to perform all duties and responsibilities wearing the appropriate PPE. Engages in building knowledge and skills to ensure quality and safety standards in a constantly changing environment.

Manages a maintenance ticketing system to ensure that facilities are maintained and upgraded to meet the highest Guest standards and support the DHSRS teams in job execution.

Maintain a positive attitude, contribute toward a quality work environment and an aesthetically pleasing environment for Guests. Uses good judgement and is exemplary of a supportive and responsive manager and DHSRS team member

Regularly attend, participate in and support training and staff meetings. Support the training and skills development of the Grounds and Facilities Team.
