Where are you located?

We are located in the Animas Valley, just north of Durango city limits.

Are the hot springs all natural?

Our water is naturally geothermally heated, coming out of our well at 120 degrees. The pools are man-made.

How is a 'therapy pool' different from a swimming pool?

Our therapy pool is intended for relaxing and rejuvenating- sitting, stretching, leaning back, and enjoying a quiet conversation. Swimming, diving, splashing, jumping, loud voices, floats, and toys are not allowed as they interfere with other guests’ relaxation.

Do you have family restrooms?

We have a family locker room with 2 separate changing areas and restrooms.

Are the facilities clothing optional?

No, clothes are required on our property. We have shower rooms available for changing.

Do you have food and drinks available for purchase?

We sell beer, wine, frozen drinks, non-alcoholic beverages, and snacks at our concession area “Bear’s Water Shed” and bar “Tap 203”.  Additionally, the Elevated Eats food truck is located on the property and sells lunch and dinner items.

Can I bring a cooler?

Coolers are not allowed on the property.

How far away from downtown Durango is Durango Hot Springs?

About 9 miles north of historic downtown Durango. Less than a 20 minute drive, weather and traffic dependent.

Do you allow re-entry?

Reservations are booked as 2 or 3 hour timeslots.  Booking times are every hour or half-hour and that does NOT include re-entry.

Do you sell alcohol? Can I bring alcohol with me?

We offer beer, wine, frozen drinks, and more at our concession area “Bear’s Water Shed” and the new bar “Tap 203”.  You are not permitted to bring alcoholic beverages with you.

Do you offer discounts for seniors, military or first responders?

Seniors, military, and first responders can receive 10% off annual passes and frequency cards.

Did you used to be called Trimble Hot springs?

Yes. With new ownership and new management comes a new name.

What minerals are present in the water?

19 different minerals are present in our water. Sulfate, calcium, sodium, and silica are among the most prominent.

Are children allowed?

Yes, children are allowed. Children under 15 must be supervised by a parent or guardian, age 18 or over, at all times. Children under 8 must be within the arm’s reach of a parent at all times. Anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult, 18 or over.
Because we want all of our guests to enjoy their experience, we do remind anyone visiting with children that the mineral hot tubs are for relaxing. We do not allow splashing, swimming, diving, jumping, loud voices, toys, floats, or boisterous play that could disrupt the relaxation of other guests in the soaking hot tubs. However, children are allowed to play and splash in the new resort-style swimming pool.

Is my dog allowed?

Pets are not allowed. We allow service animals, as defined by ADA.
We ask that you do not leave your pet unattended in the parking lot in extreme weather or without adequit water. We do not allow animals to be tied up or otherwise restrained in the parking lot as they could compromise the safety of guests.

Can I bring food and drinks in with me?

No, outside food and drinks are not allowed, unless it is water for hydration.

How far are you from Purgatory Ski Resort?

We are 19 miles south on Highway 550 from Purgatory. That’s about a thirty minute drive, weather and traffic dependent.

Do you offer group discounts?

We do not have group discounted prices.

Do you still sell punch passes?

Yes, please see our passes and cards for updated rates and pricing. 

Does your water smell like sulfur?

No. Our water contains sulfate, not any discernible amount of sulfur.

Do you still accept Trimble Spa & Natural Hot Springs day passes and punch cards?

No, Durango Hot Springs stopped accepting Trimble Spa & Natural Hot Springs day passes and punch cards as of Sept 01, 2020.
