Can I still go to other pools when I rent a Private Event Space?

Absolutely! All Private Event Space rentals include full access to all public areas of the Durango Hot Springs property.  

How far ahead should I book a Private Event Space?

We generally recommend booking your Priate Event Space at least 2 weeks in advance so that all of the details are covered. But if your timeline is tighter than 2 weeks, please give one of our Events Coordinators a call and we will do our best to make your event happen.

Is a deposit required for Private Event Space?

We do ask that a credit card be placed on file when booking your Private Event Space. Depending upon the size of the event, we may ask for a deposit.

Is there a minumum number of guests for a Private Event Space?

No. However, the base fee for a Private Event Space is based on an occupancy number for that space, with additional guests adding to the cost. You are free to bring fewer guests than this occupancy, however this will not reduce the base cost.

Is there a maximum number of guests for a Private Event Space?

No. Although each Private Event Space does have a maximum number of occupants,  Private Event Space rentals include access to all public pools. This means that you may have as large a group as you like (or that the property total will accommodate) and simply use the Event Space as a base for your group.

Is a Group Booking different from a Private Event Space rental?

Yes. Renting a Private Event Space means that an area of the property is reserved exclusively for your event. A Group Booking is any group of 10 or more General Admissions which do not require a private space. Please note that to qualify for group pricing, one form of payment is required for the entire group (group members may not pay separately and enjoy the group rate).

How much time do I have in my Private Event Space?

Unlike our general admission which is limited to time periods of either 2 or 3 hours, renting an Event Space gives you and your guests 4 hours on the property (and if you would like your event longer than 4 hours, let us know and we’ll make that happen!). Please note that this time extension is available only with a Private Event Space rental, and is not applicable to Group Bookings without a private space.

Can food be catered in Private Event Spaces?

Two of our Private Event Spaces allow for the catering of food. These are our Piedra pool and our Turf area. Talk to one of our Events Coordinators to discuss food and beverage options for your event. Please note that all catering must be arranged through one of our Events Coordinators and that no glass containers are allowed on property, even in Private Event Spaces.

Do I pay for everyone in my group when renting a Private Event Space?

Yes. Our Event Coordinators will work up a package price for your event which includes the individual admission charges for your entire group. 

Are children allowed in Private Event Spaces?

Yes, however some of the Private Event Spaces are on the Adult Side of the property and, therefore, do not accommodate minors. Our Turf Area space if great for all ages, and our Piedra space can be set up in a way that minors may be present.
